Slide Ensemble
Written pieces and open improvisation, played as one practice.
Slide Ensemble is a Zürich-based ensemble for contemporary music, improvisation and collective musical practices. It was founded in 2020 by Gemma Galeano, Ferran Gorrea, Marina Mello and me, musicians from Spain, Brazil and Argentina.
The videos on this page show the quartet in concert and in session: free improvisations, programmes in Zürich venues, and the four pieces that Katharina Weber, Christian Wolfarth, Annette Schmucki and Mathias Steinauer developed with the ensemble for Creaziun. The ensemble itself, its line-up today and its other work are presented on the Collaborations page.
