• Ruedi Debrunnerclarinet, piano

  Clarinettist and pianist, conductor of the GONG-Improvisationsorchester in Aarau, an ensemble for guided orchestral improvisation with Soundpainting, graphic and video scores.

• Marco Käppelipercussion

  Drummer, percussionist and composer, trained at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern with Billy Brooks. He has led groups such as AMI RO-RO and M.K. & The Even Odds, played with Peter Schärli and in the trio Koch–Schütz–Käppeli, written music for film and theatre and toured widely. Culture Prize of the City of Aarau, 2011.

• Anto Pettpiano

  Pianist and composer, professor of contemporary improvisation at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in Tallinn. He developed his own method for teaching improvisation to instrumentalists and singers, and co-founded the Free Tallinn Trio.

• Thomas Peterelectronics

  Zürich-based musician, composer and curator working with electronics and amplified objects, between improvised electronic music, electroacoustic composition and sound installation. He teaches at the ZHdK.

• Regula Gerberdouble bass

  Musician born in Bern. Classically trained on the double bass, she came to the voice through theatre, performance and improvisation, and works as a freelance musician and teacher of voice, breath and sound.

  Zürich-based musician, composer and curator working with electronics and amplified objects, between improvised electronic music, electroacoustic composition and sound installation. He teaches at the ZHdK.

• Cecilia Quinteroscello

  Cellist, composer and improviser based in Buenos Aires. Her work brings together classical technique, exploratory playing and electronic processes; she has played in groups such as Yas, Eriza and La Corporación, and has toured the Americas and Europe.

• Saadet Türközvoice

  Singer and vocal improviser, a key figure of Zürich’s independent music scene. Her music draws on the songs of her grandparents, who fled from Kazakhstan to Turkey, as well as on free jazz and the avant-garde. Swiss Music Award 2023.

• Luis Condebass clarinet, soprano saxophone

  Woodwind player born in Buenos Aires in 1965 and one of the references of free improvisation in Argentina. In the 1990s he formed the Trío de Improvisación with Diego Chamy and Gabriel Paiuk; he has played with Axel Dörner, John Russell, Agustí Fernández and Wade Matthews, among others.

• Roberto Domeniconipiano

  Pianist from Schaffhausen, living in Zürich since 1997. He moves between electro-acoustic jazz, composed music and free improvisation, an approach he calls instant composing.

  Madrid-based improviser and composer working with digital electronics, real-time processing of recordings and amplified objects. Trained in woodwinds at the New England Conservatory, he holds a doctorate in composition from Columbia University and is the author of Improvisando. La libre creación musical (2012).
